Why We Love It: Something about this chair that just draws you in. It has that old world lived in feel and yet it is so vibrant and unexpected and fun. The treatment of the wood left natural is just a beautiful pairing with the brightness of the patchwork quilt. Love the pairing with a more masculine fabric like the rich grey to tone it down without overwhelming. Alternately, if you prefer a little more refined look you can get just the seat cushion in the patchwork, or if you want to go completely cozy and subdued, you can opt for all over grey. Can’t quite decide which is our favorite...
The patchwork fabric is made from vintage cotton saris from India where they are sewn into quilts my local artisans with their traditional running stitch embroidery. The chair itself is made in the USA by one of the nation’s leading eco furniture makers. It is constructed using organic linen upholstery fabric, recycled fibers, down pillow fill, and certified kiln-dried hardwood frames. No sags, no creaks – the folks who build these pieces are scrupulous about the smallest details of their work in every way that matters.
