Why We Love It: Eco-luxe option for the bedding, this graphic floral is based on Indian block prints but evokes the simplicity of McKinney style prints. The white and silver is a sleek modern option for the bedroom and can be paired with a variety of colors from pops of red, gold, purple or pinks so it almost works as a neutral and can be tailored to suit your own color preferences.

It’s made of a GOTS certifed 200-thread-count organic cotton percale. West Elm also requires that their vendors sign a Code of Conduct to ensure that their suppliers employ ethical manufacturing practices and comply to the highest standards for safe, healthful working conditions that conform to local law and best industry practices. This includes, among other things, a prohibition against child labor, prison or forced labor, unsafe working conditions or unfair wage practices.

The Pebble Mattress is all about maximizing air flow, breathibility and moisture wicking to facilitate a better night’s sleep. The natural latex core, organic wool layer, FSC-certified eucalyptus cover, and the unique asymmetrically pebble design naturally increase air-flow while wicking moisture away from sleeping baby – which means less waking up. And the all-natural materials are completely chemical-free unlike many options on the market.

The outer cover of the mattress, the bright-colored ‘pebbles,’ is stain, water and microbe resistance and can be easily wiped clean, or more deeper clean removed and tossed in the washing machine. So perhaps $610 for a child’s mattress may seem a bit steep for a child’s mattress, but a peaceful, deep and long lasting and toxic-free sleep may be worth the investment, for the baby of course… as we said, priceless.

The design is just completely cool and looks so comfy, crossing fingers for an adult verson!!!

Why We Love It: Kate Quinn Organics has long been known for their clean, simple collection of eco-clothing for kids in a gorgeous, original and ‘soothing’ color palette.  So we were thrilled to learn that they had added prints to their collection of ultra soft basics for kids with names like Sunrise, Flower, Leaf and Feather and French Clover, a unisex print  in vanilla and midnight that’s great for boys and girls alike (hint: perfect for baby showers!).

Why: If you are a fan of Project Runway, you might recognize Season 1 alum and designer Nora Caliguri. She has teamed up with fellow Pratt Institute graduate, Rachelyn Porter, to form Larsen Gray, an eco-friendly and socially conscious clothing line.

Their line mixes polished lines with chic details like the a-dorable ruffles that wrap about this 100% organic tank. Business in the front, party in the back……a great piece for your summer wardrobe for a punch of drama and an unexpected touch of femininity.

The design duo has incorporated all sorts of eco-friendly materials for the designs including recycled wool and sustainable silk, soy, bamboo, eco-wool, recycled polyester, organic cotton. When Helen first set out to create an eco-conscious line of handbags in 2004, she not only had a difficult time sourcing fabrics, but also finding a manufacturer who would agree to work with fabrics other than leather and who scoffed at alternatives like micro-suedes. Thankfully, Helen stayed true to her goal “to promote greener living that embraces style.”

Now that ‘eco’ has become more mainstream, Helen still chooses to invest the money in higher quality materials in an effort to create bags that are timeless and that can be carried season to season with fabrics that translate year round. Why: Sweet and modern can go hand and hand as in this design from Argington. This design begs a second look – at first glance you have a delicate pattern in pink and vanilla (too creamy to be called white), but upon closer inspection a klaidescope of butterflies and twirling twigs and buds emerges. (The Dinosaur set looks like a Rorschach Test from afar, but a close-up reveals a quartet of brontosaurus.)

You can never be too young for good design, tuck your little one in and they may dream of their own budding designs. And you’ll certainly sleep easier knowing that their sheets are 100% certified organic (pesticide and herbicide free) and printed with low voc dyes.
