Very exciting news – my dear friend, Suwha Hong, was featured on DailyCandy NYC last week showcasing her fall collection, which is, by the way, a-mazing. Doesn’t seem that long ago that she was in Boston practicing law, and yet, somehow she is out with her third collection. She has definitely been a source of inspiration for me – be fearless and do what you love.
Loved her first and second collection, and not just because I am completely biased, but because she is incredibly talented and creates gorgeous garments. Her “unique point of view” (P.R.) is to create garments that are elegant, timeless, wearable and immaculately crafted. Where some designers skimp on the finer details, she takes great effort to make sure every button, every stitch, every hem is perfect.
One of the best days I have had this year was spent in her studio trying on each and every piece of her collection. Would have purchased one of everything if the budget allowed. My beloved Amelia jacket remains the most coveted item in my closet, but that’s a lot of pressure on one jacket, so might just have to add the Claire to the mix – those tab pockets are pure genius. Excited to the addition of dresses to the mix as well. The one pictured is referred to as the ‘magic dress’ by everyone in her office because it makes the body look amazing and fits all shapes and sizes.
You can order pieces from all three collections online and through October 7th get an additional 20% off any purchase when you enter coupon code 100308 at checkout. Note this is true sizing, not America’s vanity sizing, so you might want to consider a size larger than normal.
