print*pattern*paper Numbers Poster & Giveaway!

Written by Urban Sherp on September 21st, 2009

alphabet_printWho: print*pattern*paper (now Children Inspire Design); Phoenix, AZ

What: Numbers Poster

Where: print*pattern*paper - $32 for 11×14 & $42 for 18×24 (check out the Alphabet Poster too!)

Why We Love ‘Em: The Numbers Poster from the print*paper*pattern collection is one that kids and parents alike can appreciate. Can’t you just imagine how much fun the little ones will have counting up stack of turtles, eggs in a nest and birds on a wire while proudly pointing out the corresponding number?

Reminiscent of Eric Carle, designer Rebecca Peragine arranges scraps of newspapers, magazines, wrapping paper etc. to create her whimsical collages. Reproductions of the original collage are then printed on 100% recycled paper using soy based inks. The prints are packaged with recycled and biodegradable packaging.

From a design perspective, we love the playful arrangement of the numbers and the unconventional layout with the mini-collages tucked in and around the numbers they symbolize.  The color combination with the the soft robin’s egg blue paired with the olive green is to ‘dye’ for and that with the pops of pink, purple, blue and green, would be a fantastic inspiration board for a nursery room or playroom.

In addition to promoting and practicing environmentally responsibility, Rebecca has been an integral member of PEACE an organization that aids underprivileged communities in Mexico. Their latest endeavor? Creating a park in Punta De Mita built almost entirely from recycled materials in an effort to promote environmental stewardship, to revitalize the community and to provide a much needed haven for children. Excited to see how it turns out!  To learn more about this incredibly inspiring project and how you can become involved, read about it on the print*pattern*paper blog.
