Elizabeth Olsen, the designer behind Olsenhaus is committed to creating shoes that are 100% vegan, she herself has been a vegetarian for 19 years and a vegan for 2. She uses alternative, sustainable and renewable plant-based and man-made, non-animal materials such as: organic cotton, canvas, nylon, velvet, linen, cork, synthetic eco-lining and, as with this particular shoe, ultra suede sourced from Italy. No leather, fur, wool or silk is ever used and nothing is ever tested on animals. The soles are a composite of rubber, glues are rubber-based and vegan, paint is vegan and non-toxic.
