FUEZ Countertops
FUEZ Countertops are a sustainable and environmentally friendly product combining low carbon cement, fly ash, and curb-side recycled glass from Seattle residences. The countertop slab contains on average 55-65% recycled glass, 20-25% low-carvon cement and 6-10% recycled fly ash from post-industrial content sourced from Oregon. The concrete used uses 30% less CO-2 than the commonly used Portland-cement. Because no resins are used in the process, there is no off-gassing of this eco-friendly countertop once installed in your home, so you can breath easy.
Fuez countertops are available in a variety of 28 standard colors. Customers also have the option to customize their countertop by choosing the types, shapes, color and sizes of the aggregate used for a unique and personalized look. Fuez surfaces can be used for flooring, wall paneling shower surrounds as well as countertops. Their are 5 standard lines included FUEZGlass (concrete & recycled glass), FUEZStone (shells, stone and concrete) and MicroFUEZ (low carbon concrete and small recycled glass) FUEZCrete (colored concrete).
Standard slab sizes are 1 1/4″ thick and 72×130″ or 64×128″ or 33×100″. The slabs are poured, polished and finished at the warehouse and then shipped direct to the job site for installation. FUEZ is constantly striving to make their manufacturing process ‘greener.’ Currently they recycled the water used in the manufacturing process reducing water consumption by 50%, 100% of the energy used is sourced from wind power and no hazardous waste products are created in the manufacturing process.
Fuez countertops are stain resistant, scratch resistant, and heat resistant and are stronger than marble. Their colors will not fade with UV exposure. FUEZ countertops are a durable, sustainable and eco-friendly option for your green kitchen or bath and meet LEED certification qualifying your green building project with up to 5 LEED points. FUEZ is a member of the LEED Certified Council adn the US Green Building Council.

Care & Maintenance for your Fuez Countertops
FUEZ countertops should be sealed upon installation and then only need to be resealed every five years. For daily cleaning use a water-based low-pH cleaner.
