EcoTop Countertops
KlipTech’s EcoTop Countertops are a sustainable and environmentally friendly product that’s durable and cost effective. It is comprised of 50% FSC Certified post-consumer recycled paper and 50% wood and bamboo fibers all renewable resources. The fibers are bound together using a more eco-friendly 100% water-based co-polymer resin. The resin is VOC and benzene-free.
Klip Tech’s EcoTop surfaces can be used for countertops, tabletops and flooring and can be used for residential and commercial applications. Their EcoClad product can be used for exterior cladding and their EcoTop is used for skateboard ramps.
The active commitment to the discovery and progression of sustainable manufacturing practices allows the company to help maintain the earth’s natural resources for future generations without compromising quality or style. The company’s products are comprised of a patent-pending 50/50 blend of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified post-consumer recycled paper and wood fiber, as well as bamboo fiber, and bound together by a 100-percent water-based co-polymer resin, EcoTop and EcoClad are VOC- and benzene-free.

EcoTop surfaces are finished with a non-toxic, clear water-based vegetable oil/carnauba wax emulsion that is spread by hand and then buffed with a soft cloth. The Finish provides a durable, warm soft looking luster and a sacrificial wear layer on the countertop that adds to the already excellent abrasion resistance and stain resistance of the EcoTop. It also adds richness to the color of the countertops.
The Eco-Top surfaces can contribute to seven different credits within the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) building standards. The surfaces qualify for these credits because 1) they are made of recycled content 2) the materials are sourced locally within 500 miles 3) 30% of the overall content is derived from rapidly renewable resources 4) the wood materials used are FSC certified 5) they are low VOC products. KlipTech is a Member of the US Green Building Council.
