Amenity’s Organic Fabric by the Yard

amenity_river_organic_fabricWho: AmenityLos Angeles, CA

What: River Organic Cotton + Hemp fabric

Where: Amenity -  $65/yard

Why: Psyched to find out that Amenity is selling their organic fabrics to the public, not just to trade. So many of the really cool organic fabrics (you know, ones that don’t look like burlap) tend to only be available to the trade. So that means that in order to purchase 2 yards of fabric for your DIY project you would have to hire a designer which would likely end up costing your more than the fabric itself. Always nice to skip the middle man.

The scale of this print is pretty large; the pair of overlapping leaves pictured would just about cover a dining chair so you’d have this great mix of modern, abstract and natural elements. The luxe fabric is made of a blend of organic cotton and hemp hand-printed in Los Angeles using non-toxic, water-based dyes. If the colors aren’t quite what you are looking for you can contact Amenity to customize your colors, but it will cost you a little more.
